Outside Looktm service. One of our marketing professors once
told us that the “goldfish thinks that you are in the water.” The fact is that
you have been immersed in your company so long that you have lost the
important perspective of what you look like to your customers. We can help
you regain that important perspective by performing our high-impact,
low-cost, Outside Looktm
service.
For a low
introductory fee we’ll analyze your literature and website and report our findings. We'll determine the strategic positioning
embedded in your marketing communications, i.e. "performance leader" or
"price leader" or "the market leader." We'll look at your product
families for their positioning as well. We'll try to logically group
your products given their names, descriptions, etc. In short we'll
tell you what we got out of your communications - and you'll decided how
good a job you did!
We will also
analyze and report on any problems, confusion, and traps that we encounter.
As an example, "Did you fall into the line-extension trap?" From what
we learned from your communications, we'll also formulate internet search
strings, apply them, and report your ranking compared to your competitors - "Did we find you?" We
will also reinforce what we liked as well!
We’ll
then write up a report of our findings and present them in your next
management meeting. You are probably spending thousands of dollars per
week in sales and marketing personnel and advertising, right? Isn’t it

The process and deliverables of the
Outside Look™ service:
1. Introductory phone conversation with company sponsor/contact.
Don't alert anyone because we have to do #2!
2. Request delivery of marketing materials - "the typical information
package." We will pose as a customer and request information.
3. Information package and website are analyzed and results condensed
into a PowerPoint presentation.
4. Internet word searches are generated and conducted. Search
results are reported.
5. Errors, confusion, traps, frustrations, are logged and reported.
6. Final PowerPoint presentation (with vigorous Q&A!) is delivered at
next company management meeting (1-1.5 hours).
7. Follow up consulting at your discretion.
